It’s finally time for me to become serious about blogging.

I’ve aspired to be a blogger for a long time, and today is the first day for me to realize that dream. I’m done with the excuses, and today is the first day I start making the time to write good, informative blog posts that interest more than just my immediate friends and family.

The name I’ve been throwing around for months finally became available as a domain, so I snatched it up. And here it is, world, ready for your consumption and criticism.

Welcome to Making it Home!

Making it Home is all about making your (and my!) house a home, as well as my journey to make it to my dream home on a couple of acres with some goats in the field. Goats will likely be a recurring theme. I use them as a symbol of what I hope to achieve, and I just like pictures of goats. Here’s one:

This is a pygmy goat I had the pleasure of meeting at a homesteaders meet in 2010. He was absolutely darling, and the cutest lap goat I’ve ever encountered!
