About Making it Home

Making it Home was created to help you bring out your inner domestic diva! I share my journey through adulthood here with you, making sure to chronicle and document my favorite domestic tips and tricks.

Come here for wholesome recipes to feed your whole family (hand-picked and biological), learn new and old homesteading skills, pick up a new hobby, learn valuable mommy tips and tricks, and read musings on life and adulthood.

About Trisha

I am a blogger, writer, maker, doer, wife, and soon-to-be mommy!

Currently I work full-time and try to keep this thing running on the side. I love to read and learn about parenting, crafting, cooking, and everything else, and use this space to share the good stuff with you.

I love crafting of most kinds, but knit and crochet most frequently. I’ve dabbled in jewelry making, quilting, sewing, embroidery, and more. I hope to come up with some original knitting and crochet patterns to share with the blogosphere soon.

One of my biggest passions is cooking. You will be seeing lots of recipes here, and get a peek into my recipe binder. I don’t believe in secrets, and especially secret recipes, because that’s how legacies are lost, so each and every family favorite recipe will be featured here.

For now, I am the only contributor to this blog. I am interested in blog exchanges, and possibly in convincing the Mister to contribute.

About My Family

The Husbeast, the love of my life. My husband, my protector, and the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I thank God for him everyday. We met in October of 2011 and wed on August 17th, 2012. He is currently pursuing a career in the United States Air Force and I am supporting him all the way.

Mishka, my tiny tiny cat. Born March 14th of 2008, she’s my little buddy who keeps my lap warm and talks to me in the bathroom. She never really grew any bigger than a six-month-old kitten, weighing in at a hefty 5.5 lbs.

Luna, my sweet little Siberian Husky gal. She was born on September 30, 2011, and was a Christmas gift to me that year. She tries my patience, eats my rugs, wakes me up early to pee, and loves me and husbeast unconditionally.

The Cashew, husbeast’s and my first little one, currently still baking. Due mid-April, 2013.

About My Values

My values are centered around real, wholesome food, being kind to our earth, and spending quality time with loved ones. I try to garden organically, buy as healthy of meals as possible, and make a minimal impact on my environment, while making time for the important people in my life and spending money frugally.
